Feral Voice is an independent platform for women who only answer to themselves. We publish long-form, introspective essays — writing that sits with a question rather than rushing to a conclusion, that treats the inner life as worth taking seriously.
Our work moves across five pillars: Self (identity, desire, becoming), Bonds (love, friendship, family, power), Body (pleasure, illness, ageing, embodiment), Alone (solitude, grief, independence), and Roots (heritage, place, lineage, culture). Each piece is an attempt to say something true about how it feels to live inside a woman's life right now.
A free, non-commercial space
Feral Voice is free to read. We are not a commercial publication: no paid tiers, no subscription wall, no display advertising. The magazine exists as an open space for writing that aligns with our perspective — direct, sovereign, and unwilling to flatten complexity into advice.
Contributors
We welcome essays from women whose writing resonates with what Feral Voice stands for. Submission is voluntary. We do not pay contributors and offer no financial compensation for published work. What we offer instead is a careful read, editorial dialogue when a piece is accepted, and a permanent home for work that fits.
We are not looking for content marketing, coaching frameworks, or listicles. We are looking for voice — yours, specifically — applied to something you have actually lived or thought through.
